Tier 2 : Descriptive Paper of SSC CHSL Syllabus

Tier-II of the SSC CHSL exam is a descriptive paper in which candidates have to write an essay of 200-250 words and a letter/application of about 150-200 words. The paper is designed to test the writing skills of the candidates in English or Hindi. The topics for the essay and letter/application can vary.

Tier 3 : Skill Test/Typing Test of SSC CHSL Syllabus

The skill test/typing test is applicable for candidates who qualify in Tier-I and Tier-II. The skill test/typing test is qualifying in nature and does not carry any marks. The details are as follows:

  1. Data Entry Operator (DEO): Candidates should have a speed of 8,000 Key Depressions per hour on the computer.
  2. Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA): Candidates should have a typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi.
  3. Postal Assistant (PA)/Sorting Assistant (SA): Candidates should have a typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi.
