  3. Total Marks: The Tier-II exam is of 100 marks.
  4. Duration: The duration of the Tier-II exam is 1 hour (60 minutes). For PwD candidates, the duration is extended to 80 minutes.

Tier-III: Skill Test/Typing Test – SSC CHSL Exam Pattern

The Tier-III skill test/typing test is qualifying in nature and does not carry any marks. The details are as follows:

  1. Data Entry Operator (DEO): Candidates should have a speed of 8,000 Key Depressions per hour on the computer.
  2. Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA): Candidates should have a typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi.
  3. Postal Assistant (PA)/Sorting Assistant (SA): Candidates should have a typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi.
