Age | Not exceeding 30 years as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 35 years for Scheduled Tribes candidates in respect of vacancies reserved for them. Essential Qualificaiton (s) | A. EDUCATIONAL Degree in Engineering in the discipline of Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University.B-EXPERIENCE Two years practical experience in any of the fields of quality Assurance/Quality Control/Production/Manufacturing and testing of Engineering Equipments including knowledge of various standards and their interpretation. NOTE1_ The qualification are relaxable at Commission’s discretion in case of candidates otherwise well qualified. |
Desirable Qualificaiton (s) | Experience in Computer operation for the purpose of preparation of Technical reports, Technical Briefs etc. |
Duty(ies) | The officer shall be responsible for quality assurance, acceptance, inspection of equipments and stores, defect investigation , trials vetting of draft indents/agreements/supply orders, sampling plans, liaison with Production Units. Removal of bottlenecks and suggesting methods of improvement of quality. |
Probation | Two Years |
Head Quarter | Liable to serve anywhere in India. |

Essential Qualificaiton (s) | EDUCATIONAL: Degree in Mechanical Engineering of a recognized University or equivalent.EXPERIENCE: Two years experience in handling various aspects of industrial safety in a factory, dock, ship or a technical institution/organization. Note:1 The word ‘Equivalent’ means pass in Section ‘A’ and Section ‘B’ of AMIE of the Institution of Engineers (India) in relevant branch of Engineering i.e., Mechanical Engineering. Note- : 2 The qualifications are relaxable at Commission’s discretion in case of candidates otherwise well qualified. |
Desirable Qualificaiton (s) | Experience in planning organizing and coordinating of research, education and training activities pertaining to industrial/dock safety. |
Duty(ies) | 1. Assisting in carrying out surveys and research studies in the field of industrial safety. 2. Preparation of safety literature, conducting educational and training programs. 3. Dealing with matters concerned with Factories Act and Model Rules. 4. Work in connection with enforcement of Dock Workers (Safety, Health and Welfare) Act, 1986 and the rules and regulations framed thereunder. 5. Carrying out surveys in ports and conducting training programs for the various levels of supervisory personnel and dock workers. |
