Exam Pattern for UPSC CISF AC (LDCE) Exam

Paper 1 General Ability and Intelligence (300 Marks)

    • This paper consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
    • There are 150 questions in total.
    • Each question carries 2 marks.
    • There is a negative marking of 1/3rd of the marks assigned to a question for incorrect answers.
    • The duration of Paper 1 is 2.5 hours.

Paper 2 Professional Skill (300 Marks)

      • This paper is also objective in nature with multiple-choice questions.
      • There are 150 questions, each carrying 2 marks.
      • Negative marking of 1/3rd of the marks is applicable.
      • The duration of Paper 2 is 2.5 hours.

Paper 3 Descriptive Paper (200 Marks)

    • This paper assesses writing and communication skills.
    • It includes Essay Writing, Precis Writing, and Comprehension.
    • The duration of Paper 2I is 2 hours.

The candidates who qualify in the written examination are called for the Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests.
