Sub: Election of the Board for the term 2017-2021

Sir/Madam,

In pursuance of the provisions of section 12 and 13 of the Goa Secondary & Higher Secondary Board (Amendment) Act 1996 (to the Principal Act 1975) the election of the Members of the Board under section 12 (1) Class B (iii) to (vii) of the said Act and for the tenure 2017-2021 are proposed to be held in July 2017.

The procedure of the election will be as laid down by Goa, Daman, Diu Secondary & Higher Secondary Education Board Members Election Procedure Rules, 1979 published in the Official Gazette No.47 series I dated 21/02/1980.

In view of preparing the list of Voters for conducting election of the members of Board, as per provision 12 (1) Class B (vii), of the Goa Secondary & Higher Secondary Education Board (Amendment) Act 1996 ( to the Principal Act, 1975) for the tenure of 2017 – 2021, you are requested to kindly furnish the requisite information in the proforma as per Appendix – B (given overleaf)

In order to enable this office to take up this work, you are hereby requested to kindly extend your co-operation by way of complying the following two actions.

Election of the Goa Board for the Term 2017

The said proforma duly filled in may be handed over to the Headmaster/Principal of your School who is already requested to arrange to send it to this Office.

In case the number of recognized secondary Schools/Higher Secondary Schools run by the Managing body of your Trust/Society is more than one, you are requested to furnish the said information in only one form and hand it over to only one of your Headmasters/Principal who will send the said form to this Office.

Please note that the President/Chairman should be of the educational Society/Trust, and not of the School Managing Committee.

Since this information should reach to this office by 15/03/2017 your action, as requested above, is solicited.
