A candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA) (it may also be referred to as Persons With Disability (PWD) categories), awarded by any of the universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a university under Section 3 of the UGC Act. 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply. If selected, such candidates will be allowed to join the programme provisionally, only if he/she submits a certificate latest by June 30, 2019 from the Principal/Registrar of his/her College/Institute (issued on or before June 30, 2019) stating that the candidate has completed all the requirements for obtaining the b a c h e lo r ’s d e g r e e / e q u i v a l e n t qualification on the date of the issue of the certificate. The candidates will be required to submit the result by 31st December 2018.
CAT 2018/XAT2019
Apply and appear for CAT 2018/ XAT 2019. IIFM will use CAT/XAT scorefor short-listing the candidates. IIMs/XLRI have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.
A judicious mix of different modules like class-room teaching, structured field work and project-work in client organizations are used to inculcate managerial skills. In class-room teaching, advanced pedagogical techniques, i.e., case method, role play and simulation games are extensively used. A broad framework of various learning components and methods of handling them is presented in the table below.
Academic Calendar
The total duration of the PGDSM is 85 weeks which is divided into eight segments. Five of these segments are for classroom study, Field Work, Summer Internship and industry Project.

STEP-1 : Visit IIFM website : www.iifm.ac.in/admission – submit the application online along with the scanned copies of documents and remit the Registration fee online through net banking/credit card.
STEP-2 : Personal Interview
Personal interview over Skype or other IT tool to test aptitude towards the programme and command over English language.
STEP-3 : Final Selection and Visa
The Institute will issue admission offer letter to the selected candidates. The selected candidates on the basis of offer letter get study visa for joining the course. The regular classes will be held from 1st week of July, 2019. The selected students has to complete all the formalities including remittance of course fee before that.

The course fee including hostel rent for two years for foreign students is USD 21,000, for SAARC students the course fee is USD 14,000. The fee does not include mess charges, travel expenses for joining the course, visa charges etc. The fee should be paid in two instalments i.e. 60% of the fee payable in first year and 40% in second year.
