Change in CBSE Syllabus , New Syllabus for Class 9, 10, 11, 12 – CBSE Reduced syllabus
Change in CBSE Syllabus , NEW CBSE Board Exam Syllabus Class 9, 10, 11, 12 released . For this year i.e. session CBSE Syllabus have been modified and reduced due to outbreak of COVID-19. As Corona Virus is spreading which resulted in long period of lockdown across the India and even across the globe therefore CBSE reduced syllabus for Class 9, 10, 11, 12. New updated CBSE Reduced syllabus is available here for all subjects. Changed CBSE reduced syllabus is given subject-wise for download in PDF Free.
Business Studies Class 12 CBSE Reduced Syllabus
- No change in syllabus
Accountancy Class 12 CBSE Reduced Syllabus
- No change in syllabus
Biology Class 11 CBSE Change in Syllabus
- The weightage of Unit 1 and Unit 3 has been changed from 10 marks to 12 marks and 14 marks to 12 marks
- The number of periods of Unit 1, 2 and 3 has been changed from 23, 23, 34 to 27, 27, 26
- Topic ‘Secondary growth’ has been added to chapter
- Practicals:
- Experiment Number 4 has been divided into two experiments, one is tissues and diversity in shapes and size of plant cell and another is tissues and diversity in shapes and size of animal
- Three experiments have been deleted from [B. Study/observation of the following (spotting)],
- Study of imbibition in seeds/raisins.
- Observation and comments on the experimental set up for showing:
- Anaerobic respiration (b) Phototropism (c) Effect of apical bud removal
- Study of external morphology of cockroach through virtual images/models.

- Term ‘sacred groves’ has been added into Chapter

Chemistry Class 11 CBSE Change in Syllabus
- Topics ‘Discovery of Electron, Proton and Neutron, atomic number, isotopes and isobars, Thomson’s model and its limitations, Rutherford’s model and its limitations’ have been added to Unit 2 (Structure of Atom).
- Topics ‘Significance of classification and brief history of the development of periodic table’ have been added to Unit 3 (Classification of Elements and Periodicity in Elements).
- The name of Unit 11 (p-block Elements) has been changed to ‘Some p-block Elements’.
Practicals:
- Under Quantitative Estimation, a practical ‘Using a chemical balance’ has been changed to ‘Using a mechanical balance/electronic balance’.
- Under Qualitative Analysis, in cations As3+ has been added and in anion2s NO — has been added.
Chemistry Class 12 CBSE Reduced Syllabus
- A new chapter ‘Solid State’ has been added as Unit Thus sequence of units has also been changed.
- In Unit 7 (p-block Elements), Group-15 Elements have been added and its number of periods also changed from 14 to

- The name of Unit 13 (Organic Compounds containing Nitrogen) has been changed to ‘Amines’.

- A term ‘Indian Economic System’ has been added in Unit 6 [Development Experience (1947- 90) and Economic Reforms since 1991].
- Only ‘Institutional aspects and new agricultural strategy’ will have to be taught under problems and policies of agriculture in Unit 6 [Development Experience (1947-90) and Economic Reforms since 1991].
- Topics ‘IPS-1956 and SSI-role and importance’ have been added in Unit 6 [Development Experience (1947-90) and Economic Reforms since 1991].
- Topic ‘Changes in workforce participation rate in formal and informal sectors’ has been added in Unit 7 (Current challenges facing Indian Economy).
